Lanigan & District Heritage Centre

Step back in time and explore the rich history of Lanigan at the Lanigan & District Heritage Centre, located in the beautifully preserved Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) station, a landmark built in 1908. This historic site, conveniently situated just off the Yellowhead Highway, offers visitors a unique glimpse into the past through a variety of fascinating exhibits and displays.

More Than Just History

  • Farmers' Market: Every Wednesday from July 1 to early October, the Heritage Centre hosts a lively farmers' market from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., where you can enjoy fresh local produce, homemade goods, and a warm community atmosphere.
  • Guided and Self-Guided Tours: Whether you prefer to explore on your own or with the help of our knowledgeable guides, we offer tours that cater to all interests and ages. Tours are available daily from June 1 to September 4, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Modern Amenities: Enjoy a comfortable visit with access to modern washrooms, a gift shop filled with unique items, and spacious meeting rooms available for community events or private functions.

The Lanigan & District Music Festival is a cherished annual event that celebrates the vibrant cultural life of our community. As part of the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association, this local festival provides a platform for musicians of all ages to showcase their talents and passion for music. Participants have the opportunity to perform in a supportive environment and, for those looking to challenge themselves further, can advance to Provincial and even National levels of competition.

Held every year in March or early April, the festival brings together performers, families, and music enthusiasts from across the region, fostering a deep appreciation for the arts and building a strong sense of community. Whether you're a performer, a supporter, or simply a lover of music, the Lanigan and District Music Festival is a highlight on the town's cultural calendar.

Our mission is to provide a safe place for students to dance, have fun, build confidence, learn to be part of a team, and make fitness an important part of their lives. We provide technically proper body alignment training, and age-appropriate movements in a nurturing, family atmosphere. Lanigan Dance Dynamics programs are for students of all ages who seek personal enrichment through dance training. We offer the best in technique and the newest choreography, while cultivating a love for dance in all dance students. Our teachers strive to raise the bar on excellence in dance education while providing a safe environment fostering achievement at the highest levels.

Students of Lanigan Dance Dynamics have attended numerous competitions at various points in Saskatchewan and have achieved many awards and high honours for their dance expertise. All ages are welcome.
