Lanigan Cooperative Daycare

Lanigan Cooperative Daycare is a non-profit organization located at #33 Antrim Street, dedicated to nurturing the physical, mental, and social well-being of children from six weeks to 12 years old.

Operated by a fully trained staff and overseen by a parent-based board, our daycare offers personalized programming, including one-on-one support for children with special needs. We provide two nutritious snacks and a hot lunch daily, ensuring that every child is well-cared for in a safe, supportive environment.

Lanigan Daycare Expansion

Lanigan Cooperative Daycare is embarking on an exciting expansion project to accommodate the growing demand for childcare in the community. With Lanigan experiencing significant growth due to expanding potash mining projects, the daycare plans to more than double its capacity from 42 to 90 spots. This expansion is crucial for supporting families moving to Lanigan for career opportunities, particularly at the local mines.

The project, estimated to require $2.5 million, is in its early planning stages, with fundraising efforts already underway. The daycare received a significant boost with a $10,000 investment from ADAMA Canada's Stomping Grounds program, which supports community projects across the country. This expansion will play a vital role in supporting Lanigan's growth, ensuring that essential services like childcare keep pace with the community's needs. The daycare board is optimistic about the project and looks forward to making this vision a reality.
